Breakdance Lessons Stoke on Trent
Children’s (Boys & Girls)

Welcome to Wild Style Breakers. We are a Stoke on Trent based Breakdance School offering Breakdance Lessons to children throughout Stoke on Trent. What makes Wild Style Breakers different is that we only concentrate on traditional Break Dancing making us the only dedicated break dance school in Stoke.

Breakdance also known as breaking, b-girling or b-boying is a street dance style that evolved as part of the hip hop movement that originated among African American and Latin American youths in the South Bronx of New York during the early 1970s.

It involves a variety of movements all of which are spin offs of top rock, down rock, power moves and freezes traditionally danced on the beat. What was once a male dance trend associated with the term Bboys, over the years has evolved and now both Bboys and Bgirls can be found all over the world including Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, France, Japan and South Korea.

Saturday was a fun day. Early start with picking up our 15 seater van for our comp in Manchester. Then last lesson of the year at Wildstyle Breakers. Well done to everyone I can see that some of you have really put the work in the four battles at the end of the lesson was great some of you are listening to the advice on how to dance better. Most improved dancer of the month was Tom well done.
So after the lesson we set off to Manchester, I just want say that everyone had lots of laughs but if I hear one more riddle I will scream, Hahahaha.
I want to thank the parents who came along to support the children and want to say well done to all the dancers who got past their nerves and entered. I would love to take more dancers to these events as you will be amazed at the levels and inspired at the same time. I want to say thank you for all the cards and presents enjoy your Xmas, see you all in the new year. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Breakdancing is good for the health. It is a physical activity where you can expect to gain strength and stamina. It is a great form of both physical and mental self-development.

Toprock

A combination of steps performed from a standing position.

Downrock (Footwork/Floorwork)

Moves completed on the floor where the hands play as an important part as do the feet.

Power moves

These moves require strength and endurance and can only be described as acrobatic.

Freezes

A single pose where upper body and core muscle strength helps support the lower body whilst it is suspended from the ground.
